President & CEO’s Review of FY 16

As we approach the end of another government fiscal year, I reflect on the previous year and plan for the next.  ARServices enjoyed a very successful past twelve months, experiencing strong growth, winning new work, and building upon the services we provide to our clients.  In government FY 16, ARServices was awarded new contracts with; the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, the Department of the Navy, and the Defense Logistics Agency. We were also awardees of a Seaport-E contract vehicle and a GSA Human Resources Schedule. ARServices also experienced the expansion of our efforts with the follow-on work to the Defense Logistics Agencies (DLA) ITAMS CONUS and OCONUS contracts, DLA Telecom & Cabling, and the Naval Research Laboratory HRO, STEM & LQEP Programs.  The Federal customers became more selective buyers in Fiscal Year 2016, as discretionary procurement dollars were tight and there was an ever increasing need for innovative, cost-effective solutions that meet the market. Despite these factors, we experienced solid growth and I congratulate all involved.

Partnerships have always been an element of ARServices’ success and in 2016 we strengthened our relationships with Engility in the expansion of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency J3/J7 and J8/J9 Advisory and Assistance Services contracts.  In 2016, ARServices continued to develop business capture and re-compete strategies with other valued and long-time partners.

The previous items are ingredients to our success but the essential component, the catalyst in this formula for success, is the commitment and engagement of our employees who provide responsive and cost efficient solutions to our customers, industry partners, and the ARServices program teams they support. One way that the ARServices team has given back to our employees this year is by providing an additional benefit, the ARServices’ Day of Service Program. This new company initiative provides ARServices’ employees with an additional eight hours of paid leave for them to volunteer in their local communities. ARServices is very proud to support the community and charitable causes which matter to our employees and the communities where they live and work.

I look forward to ARServices continuing our success as our business grows, depth of partner relationships increase, and we continue to provide for our employees to ensure their continued achievement supporting our clients.

I foresee the next Federal fiscal year as a time for great opportunity.  Fortune, as always favors the prepared.
