ARServices Expands Work with DLA and Signs New Contract with DNFSB

Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board (DNFSB) and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) turn to ARServices to fill twenty-two mission-critical positions.

ARServices, a leading management and technology consulting provider for the federal government and defense sectors, was awarded key contracts for administrative support services and continuity of operations planning (COOP) support services by the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board and Defense Logistics Agency, respectively. These contract wins will result in a combined twenty-two ARServices staff members working on behalf of the federal government.

As per specifications of their contract, ARServices will be providing administrative and program support services to the DFNSB, an independent establishment within the executive branch of the United States Government that advises the Secretary of Energy on matters regarding public health and safety issues at Department of Energy defense nuclear facilities.

This administrative and program support staff will operate in the Board’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, and will be responsible for providing expertise in the fields of human resources, legal, security, technical writing, document control, and records management while also ensuring policies and procedures are current and enforced.

“The support being delivered by ARServices to the DNFSB is critical in achieving the Board’s strategic goals,” said Jay McCargo, the company’s President and CEO. “The DNFSB will rely heavily on ARServices’ capable staff to assist the Board as it seeks to improve safety of operations, strengthen safety standards, increase safety in design, and achieve excellence in both managing and communicating with stakeholders.”

The agreement between ARServices and the DLA adds COOP support to an existing contract between the two organizations. The existing contract, which was signed in fall of 2016, involves the delivery of IT asset and inventory management support services.

The additional scope of work authorizes ARServices to provide assistance towards the continuation of mission-critical operations at designated DLA COOP locations. As per terms of the contract, ARServices will coordinate with the DLA in the relocation of organic assets, as well as the procurement and configuration of compatible computer systems when needed, following COOP activation. ARServices staff will also work to maximize alternate site recovery capability in coordination with Department of Enterprise Services (DES) facilities and infrastructure personnel.

“COOP remains a significant concern across federal agencies and military organizations that need to ensure they are operational and working towards their mission objectives even in the aftermath of a natural disaster or similar event,” said Mr. McCargo. “The expansion of its original contract with the DLA will authorize the company to step in and provide COOP services to the organization when it’s needed most. The addition of this scope of work to our existing contract illustrates the reliance and trust that the DLA places on the services and support it receives from ARServices.”
