Supporting Military Spouses’ Careers through MSEP Involvement

Earlier this month, the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP), a program sponsored by the Department of Defense, held its annual induction ceremony and partner meeting to bring together newly inducted partners and sustaining partners. These partners are companies committed to creating opportunities for a unique, qualified pool of talent: military spouses.

MSEPAccording the MSEP, “The shared goal of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership and the Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program is to ensure spouses have the opportunities and connections they need to obtain a satisfying career and receive wages commensurate with their level of training, work experience, accomplishments and credentials.”

The program includes more than 340 partners who are committed to recruiting, hiring, promoting, and retaining military spouses as part of their workforce. With the help of all of these partners, more than 5 million jobs have been posted since the program launched in June of 2011.

This program was created to assist military spouses in obtaining employment in light of common relocations and other challenges unique to military spouses. Partners that pledge to help create opportunities specific to this group of hardworking, skilled and diverse individuals truly contribute to a better quality of life for them and their families.

At ARServices we’re committed to serving veterans and active duty service members any way we can and our involvement with MSEP is just one of the ways we like to show our support. In fact, with more than one-third of our workforce comprised of veterans, we understand that it’s both the right thing to do and good business sense to continue facilitating that culture.

ARServices is proud to be a continued partner with MSEP and our team attended the partner meeting this year to support new members to this important program. With ARServices working regularly with many parts of the Department of Defense, as well fostering the development of our own veteran workforce, we are savvy to the impact that this program has on our troops and their families.
