ARServices Continues Support for Veteran Employment at AUSA Job Fair

A cornerstone of ARServices’ success has always been the impressive employees that power it, especially our large group of veteran employees. With their unique expertise and strong leadership skills, we understand that hiring veterans is not only the right thing to do, but it also makes good business sense. It’s not an accident that over one-third of our team is comprised of veterans.

For these reasons, ARServices was proud to participate in an AUSA job fair specifically targeted towards veterans and their families last month. The fair was held at the AUSA building in Arlington, VA and boasted over 25 military-friendly companies in attendance, ready to provide gainful employment and networking opportunities to U.S. veterans.

Job fairs like this one are part of AUSA’s Hiring Our Heroes program which is based on both grassroots engagement and a public-private partnership approach. “Launched in March 2011 by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, this program is a nationwide initiative to integrate the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s vast network of state and local chambers and strategic partners with the public, private and non-profit sectors,” stated AUSA in an overview of the program. “The goal of this program is to create a movement across America in hundreds of communities where veterans and military families live and return to live after their military service.”

ARServices has long been involved in creating job opportunities for the veteran community and has seen the direct benefits permeate throughout our workforce. This dedication is exemplified through our recent receipt of our Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program certification and as well as our attendance at the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) induction ceremony, where we supported new program partners dedicated to employing deserving, hardworking military spouses.

“Bridging the gap between military and civilian careers can be extremely challenging for veterans, especially when they aren’t provided the right opportunities to succeed,” explained ARServices CEO Jay McCargo. “It’s not just about hiring them. It’s about fostering an environment that they will thrive in, and that’s something we are very serious about here at ARServices.”

It’s safe to say that veteran employment is part of ARServices’ identity. We plan to continue showing our support for this strong and diligent community by connecting them to rewarding employment opportunities. Simultaneously, we’ll continue to strengthen our business acumen and deliver top-notch results to our customers with their help.
